Freeing oneself from guilt lightens the load immensely !

One of the most commonly used emotions to get what we want from others is guilt. Not only do some religious systems encourage guilt, but also the education model where failure is not celebrated but condemned, and where the message of guilt has been passed down from generation to generation since our earliest age. For many of us, this has resulted in somewhat dysfunctional behavior, where we act more to avoid the feeling of guilt rather than making conscious decisions that would lead to well-being, our well-being.

Better habits: start simply

We often talk about the importance of lifestyle hygiene. We are constantly enticed by messages encouraging us to exercise, eat better, take action for the planet, and these messages give us parameters. Our subconscious also sets parameters for us. We must do everything right, otherwise, what’s the point of doing it?! And very often, the ‘right’ is set so high that we feel like failures because we don’t meet that standard.
